This policy explains what data FAIMOUS collects, why, who we share it with, and how you can exercise your rights. We comply with the GDPR.
1. Data controller
FAIMOUS is the controller for data collected via faimous.co. Contact: contact@faimous.co
2. Data we collect
We collect: (a) your email and name when you create an account; (b) brands and domains you submit through scan or audit forms; (c) technical cookies (session, language preference, anonymous analytics ID); (d) aggregated browsing data (page views, events) via our analytics tool.
3. Purposes
Data is used to: provide the Service (authentication, displaying scan results), improve the product (usage statistics), respond to your requests, and comply with our legal obligations.
4. Legal basis
Processing relies on performance of the service contract (user account), your consent (analytics), and our legitimate interest (security and Service improvement).
5. Processors
We share data with the following providers, strictly to operate the Service: Supabase (authentication and database, EU), PostHog EU (product analytics, EU), Netlify (hosting), OpenRouter and AI model providers (only for public brand-name queries, no personal data). No personal data is transferred outside the EU without appropriate safeguards.
6. Retention
Account data is kept as long as your account is active. Technical logs are kept for 30 days. Analytics data is aggregated and kept for up to 13 months.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability. To exercise these rights, email contact@faimous.co. You can also lodge a complaint with the French CNIL or your local data protection authority.
8. Cookies
We use technical cookies necessary to run the Service (session, language, anonymous ID) and an Umami analytics cookie. You can disable cookies in your browser; some features may then become unavailable.
9. Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data (HTTPS encryption in transit, access control, EU hosting).
10. Changes
This policy may be updated. The version in force is the one published on this page.
